My name is Joshua Kyle Davis.

I grew up in a christian family my whole life.  My parents are first generation christians.  So both my parents were learning to be Christ followers while raising me and my other siblings.  Although our family was not perfect, my parents did the best they could to teach me about Jesus and the Gospel.

At the beginning of my senior year in high school, I really began to question God and my faith, and while doing so I really began to try and find my identity in other things and in other people.  I went from group to group, cliq to cliq, trying to find where I fit and belong.

Shortly after the second half of my senior high school year, a friend gave me a book by Donal Miller: Blue Like Jazz.  After reading that book, I decided to really pursue Christ and so began my journey to really being a Christ follower, a disciple of Jesus.

Since then, life has been an incredible journey.  Lots of ups and lots of downs.  Lots of successes and lots of failures.  Lots of joy, and lots of pain.  Lots of growing.  Never ending growing.  Indeed, I will never stop being on this journey.  A journey, a race as the Apostle Paul describes it, towards Jesus.  It's a journey of my heart, and my heart is coming alive as I learn, grow, and step more into who God is and who God says I am.

Somewhere along on this journey I became passionate about discipling and mentoring other men.  The world is full of men who think they are men according to the world's standard, or maybe they don't believe they are a man according to the world's standards.  It is my desire and passion to help these men become real men of God,  men of the Gospel!

So this is my life's story, and these are my blogs that I write as I journey along.
